Graduate Resident Director for Living Learning Communities Oberlin, OH
Oberlin College and Conservatory, Department of Residence Life 2011-Present
Living Learning Communities at Oberlin college are themed residential communities designed to further students’ curricular involvement. They comprise of 10 buildings which are affiliated with an academic department and focus on a subject ranging from identity, culture, language, and healthy lifestyle.
•Supervise and mentor 15 resident assistants with a developmental, social justice framework
•Manage a combined programming hall council budget of $5000.00
•Develop curricular residential programs with academic department chair
• Work collaboratively with Faculty and Fulbright teaching assistants to create community
• Coordinate 10 distinct application and selection processes in order to ensure residents are committed to the mission and purpose of each living learning community
•Adjudicate lower level student conduct cases as a judicial coordinator
• Serve on a week-long on-call rotation and respond to crisis for a residential community of 2500 students
