My name is Purvi Patel and I am a second year graduate student at Bowling Green State University in the College Student Personnel(CSP) Program. My guiding philosophy is shaped by the following principle:
 

“ [I strive to] engage the world through a careful analysis of context, in dialogue with experience evaluated through reflection, for the sake of action, and with openness, always, to evaluation.” (35th General Congregation of the Society of Jesus, GC35).
 

As a graduate student in the CSP program, I am committed to understanding my knowledge and skills through engaging meaningfully with my professional and personal experiences. This website is my capstone portfolio and the culminating assignment in my coursework for the CSP Program. The portfolio will provide insight into the forces that have shaped my knowledge, skills, and professional experiences. My reflections are guided by the professional competencies of student affairs as defined by ACPA and NASPA and demonstrated through products or artifacts that represent growth within those competencies.
 

It is important to note that this portfolio captures my growth and development at a particular milestone in my life. I am a first generation college student who is on the cusp of getting a graduate  degree, and my first full-time job. I have experienced more growth that I could have ever possibly imagined for myself. I will absolutely continue to grow and constantly remain open to evaluating what I know, how I construct my knowledge, and what I value. I encourage you to engage with my knowledge and share what meaning you have made with me!
