“We stand on the shoulders of those who came before us”

                                                                         -Maya Angelou

I could not have accomplished this milestone without the love, encouragement, and support of a great deal of people. Below you will find a few acknowledgements for incredible people who have supported me greatly.

My family:

Words cannot describe how important you all have been in my journey. To my dear parents, your brace and courageous narrative continually provides inspiration to me to work harder and to engage the world with a sense of reckless abandon. I am forever indebted to your unconditional love and support, I cannot begin to thank you enough for your blind faith and support of me regardless of my crazy ideas.

My cohort:

I am grateful for the opportunity to have shared a classroom with all of you. Each one of your helped me find my voice, and validated my narrative and my sense of purpose. Thank you for educating me through sharing your experiences with kindness, humor and incredible passion. I cannot wait to see where our journey's take us and am forever grateful that we were a part of this community.

My students:

My dear students I am so lucky to have had the privilege of learning from you. You are all brilliant, life-changing, young people that have forever changed my life. Thank you so much for sharing your light with me for a brief moment in time, I cannot wait to see the great things that you will continue to accomplish.

My professional mentors and advocates:

Specifically Dr. Robert Kelly, Dr. KC Mmeje, Dr. Mamta Accaapadi, Rabia Khan, Sharon Chia Claros, Lester Manzano  and countless others. Thank you for taking the time to patiently guide and support me. I am truly a product of the phenomenal mentors who have shared their time and wisdom with me. Your courageous and transformative support for students continues to inspire me.

My Oberlin family:

Specifically Rebecca Mosely, Kellyn Mackerl-Cooper, Caitlin O'neill and Asher Kolieboi. I would not have survived the last two years without your ever present encouragement, humor, kindness, and care. Thank you for nurturing me intellectually and personally. I am truly better for having known you.
